    Nearby users get a notification and reserve in the app. Payment is held on their card.

    Hand over and get paid

    The customer shows the order, you hand over the bag. Payouts arrive monthly on the 25th.

What goes in a Surprise Bag

Anything you could still sell today but probably will not. Pastries, bread, sandwiches, warm dishes, sushi, groceries, produce. You set the category and the price, and the customer knows the type of food to expect. The exact contents are yours to decide.

  • Price it at 50–90% off the original retail value.
  • Only food that is safe to sell and still within its use-by date.
  • Have allergen and ingredient information available at pickup.

Yes. Prices shown to customers include VAT, and the Foodhero commission includes VAT as well.
Once a month, on the 25th, for the previous month, straight to your bank account with the commission already deducted. You also receive a PDF statement listing bags sold, total sales, commission and your payout.
No. Some partners post daily, others only when they know there will be surplus. You are in full control and can pause any time.
Anything you can still sell and customers can safely eat, priced at 50–90% off the original retail value. Sandwiches, pastries, warm dishes, groceries, produce and more.
Cancel the Foodhero offer up to two hours before the pickup window starts. Customers are notified and their held payment is released. Nothing is charged to you.
